We get it, writing and designing the perfect content for your publication takes time. It seems there’s always many rounds of revisions and reviews until it’s perfect, and there is nothing worse than scrambling to finish at the last minute.
At Readz, we want to make this process as smooth and pain-free as possible. That’s why we recommend building your pages early and saving them as drafts.
After receiving requests for it, we have added in a feature that allows you to keep certain pages from being published with the rest of your publication. This makes it so easy to start building pages and leave them as drafts until they are ready for their official debut.
We use this feature all the time for when we build the articles for our SEO guide. We publish one article a week, but we like to build the next articles in advance so that we have plenty of time to make revisions before they need to go live.
You can access this feature from the page list menu on the left side of your screen. You will notice that there is a new checkbox at the bottom of each page in the list.
When the box is checked, it means that the page will be published if you publish your site. Unchecking the box means that the page will not be shown in the preview link or the published version. This allows you to save the page as a draft until it is complete.
As you can see in the image above, the preivew of the page in the menu will turn gray and have a line through it, making it easy to tell that it will not be published. Once you complete your page, simply check the box and it will be included the next time you publish.
This is one of the many new features recently added to Readz. To learn about more, check out our how-to guide.
